8,000 Runners Bring the #EalingFeeling to West London for the Wizz Air Ealing Half Marathon Weekend
More than 8,000 runners took part in a packed weekend of racing in West London. The Trailfinders Ealing Mini Mile ran on Saturday, followed on Sunday by the Wizz Air Ealing Half Marathon and the Ealing Feeling 5k. Warm sunshine brought huge crowds onto the streets. It was a weekend full of personal bests, community spirit and the famous #EalingFeeling.
Local clubs claimed both titles in the half marathon. Oliver Way of Ealing, Southall & Middlesex AC won the men's race in 1:07:48. George Grassly of Belgrave Harriers was second in 1:08:27, and Daniel Krasucki O'Dowd was third in 1:09:26.
Alice Braham of Ealing Eagles Running Club won the women's race yet again in front of her home crowd, in 1:17:24. That's quicker than her winning time last year. Juliet Kose was second in 1:24:27, and Chloe Parsons was third in 1:25:00.
Behind the leaders, runners of every ability took on the 13.1-mile course, from first-timers and charity fundraisers to seasoned club athletes. Many others chose the Ealing Feeling 5k, and residents cheered everyone on along the route. Together, participants raised more than £100,000 for local and national charities, including event partners Meadow House Hospice and Shooting Star Children's Hospices.
On Saturday, the Trailfinders Ealing Mini Mile gave young athletes their moment in the spotlight. All weekend, Walpole Park was a lively race village with live music, food stalls and entertainment.
"Every year this weekend shows what Ealing is made of," said Event Director Sandra Courtney.
"Congratulations to Oliver and Alice, and to every single runner who crossed a finish line, from our youngest Mini Milers to our half marathoners. But the real stars are the residents, volunteers and partners who turn out for us year after year. Thank you all for making this weekend so special."
Organisers are already looking ahead. Registration for the 2027 Wizz Air Ealing Half Marathon opened Monday 28th at 1pm.
